Boeing scores its largest ever order selling up to 22 Dreamliners to Uzbekistan Airways, supporting nearly 35,000 U.S. jobs.

Boeing (BA) marked a significant deal by securing the largest single order in its history, selling up to 22 of its 787 Dreamliner jets to Uzbekistan Airways for over $8 billion, as stated by President Donald Trump. The deal, set to impact almost 35,000 U.S jobs, was announced by both parties on Monday, with Uzbekistan Airways purchasing 14 Dreamliner jets and the potential to buy eight more. This step forms part of the airline's strategy to modernize its fleet and extend its international routes, particularly to the U.S and other long-haul destinations, in response to surging demand for travel.

President Trump vocally supported the deal via his Truth Social platform, publicly congratulating Uzbekistan's President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, while also highlighting the significant worth of the deal of over $8 billion. Following the announcement, Boeing's shares showed an upward trend, increasing by 3% in the morning trading. Despite a challenging previous year due to safety incidents and a strike at its Washington plants, the stock showed a 20% gain in 2025.

Furthermore, reports suggest the U.S. and China are nearing the conclusion of negotiations for a substantial order for Boeing aircraft. Still, specific details regarding the size of the potential order are yet to be disclosed. According to U.S. Ambassador to China, David Perdue, this proposed deal could form the crux of a mutual trade agreement between both countries. The White House has yet to provide comments regarding this pending order. On September 23, 2025, updates on this deal included current share price details and reports indicating a forthcoming order from China.
